The UFC is once again heading over to Abu Dhabi for UFC 280. The card is being headlined by Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev, who are clashing for the vacant lightweight championship.

Due to the event taking place in Abu Dhabi, the start times are going to be a bit different, compared to other UFC PPVs. So make sure you read through this article to get all of the details.

UFC 280 Main Event Preview

Oliveira comes into this fight on a 11-fight winning streak, and as a former UFC lightweight champion. That win streak comes in the sports toughest division too. With victories over Tony Ferguson, Michael Chandler, Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje.

Mackhachev on the other hand, is currently surging, and is going to take this chance to regain the crown. He is also on an incredible winning streak of 10-fights. Having beaten the likes of Bobby Green, Dan Hooker and Thiago Moises. To put things simply, this is going to be a pretty epic fight between these two. And we can’t wait to watch it.

The co-main event features a bantamweight division bout where Aljamain Sterling will defend his title against TJ Dillashaw.

What time does UFC 280 start?

UFC 280 will have a special start time, due to it taking place in Abu Dhabi. Prelims will begin at 10AM ET/7AM PT. With the Main Card starting at 2PM ET/11AM PT.

There are no early prelims this time around, at UFC 280.

Keep in mind that Abu Dhabi is 8 hours ahead of the east cost of the US.

How do I watch UFC 279?

UFC 280 will be available exclusively on ESPN+. You’ll need to be an ESPN+ subscriber, and you also need to purchase the PPV. Otherwise, you’ll only be able to watch the early prelims.
