케이티 페리의 2번째 앨범 Teenage Dream의 4번째 싱글곡이자 이 앨범의 4번째 빌보드 Hot 100 1위 싱글이다. 선병맛 후중독이라는 평. 굉장히 독특하고 신선한 멜로디의 곡으로 이후 발매된 3집 PRISM의 Dark Horse가 이와 비슷한 행보를 걸었다.

이 곡은 2011년 3월 5일 빌보드 Hot 100 차트에 28위로 데뷔한다. 그리고 4월 9일에 1위를 차지하게 된다. 이 곡은 5월 14일까지 비연속 5주간 1위를 차지하고 내려오게 된다.(4월 30일 차트 1위를 리한나의 'S&M'이 차지했다.)
