안녕하세요 고3 학생입니다 모의고사를 푸는중에 이해가 안가는 것이 있어서 지식인에 질문을 드려봅니다. 답좀해주세요 ㅠㅠ
The fact that a bat has ability to focus a ray of sound and discern the difference between a twig and the moth it is after is now well known
여기서 is well known이 동사라는것은 알고 주어가 fact고 that 이 동격인것은 알겠는데 동격that절 안에 it is after이게 무슨뜻인지 이해가 안가네요 나무가지와 나방의 차이 it is after?? 무슨뜻이죠 ㅠㅠ

the moth (that) it is after =it(박쥐)가 쫓고있는 나방
1. the moth
2. it is after the moth (it 이 나방을 쫓고있다)
1/2 두 문장이 관계사 (that) 으로 연결된 것이고 (that) 은 생략된 것입니다.
I am after the rainbow. = 나는 무지개를 쫓고있다.
The cop is after the criminal. =순경이 범인을 쫓고있다.
